Outdoor recreation swim ended September 7. Lap swim and lesson programs continue through October 31, after which the pool closes for the winter season.

The pool closes for the winter season on November 1, 2026 and reopens in April 2027. Indoor aquatic programs are not affected. Read the full notice

About this facility

The aquatic center runs the district's learn-to-swim program, lap swim, water exercise and summer recreation swim. The instructional pool is heated to 86 degrees and is used for lessons and adaptive aquatics.

The facility is scheduled for a full modernization beginning in 2027 that will replace the mechanical systems, rebuild the deck and add a covered shade structure and family changing rooms.

Accessibility

A fixed pool lift serves the competition pool and a zero-depth entry serves the instructional pool. Sensory-friendly swim is held the first Sunday of each month during the summer season, with reduced sound and lighting.

Programs at this facility

Park rules

  1. Children under 8 must be accompanied in the water by an adult 18 or older.
  2. Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained.
  3. No diving in the instructional pool or in water shallower than five feet.
  4. The pool closes for 30 minutes after any thunder is heard.
