Households that meet income guidelines pay up to 75 percent less for recreation programs, with a limit of three programs per child per year. Apply once and the discount applies automatically to every registration for twelve months.

Applications are confidential and are reviewed by one member of staff. No documentation of immigration status is requested at any point.

Children and adults with disabilities take part in ordinary district programs with whatever support makes that possible: adapted equipment, a modified activity plan, or a one-to-one aide provided by the district at no additional cost.

Support is arranged through an individual plan agreed before the program starts. Requesting it never affects placement, and there is no separate waiting list.

Willow Bend Senior Center opens as the district's cooling center when Clearwater County issues an excessive heat warning, and as a clean air center when the air quality index exceeds 150.

Activation extends the building's hours to 8:00 p.m., and is announced on this website, at the center and through the county's alert system. Water is provided and there is no charge or registration.

A hot midday meal is served three days a week at Willow Bend in partnership with Clearwater County Senior Nutrition, followed by an activity. There is no fee; a voluntary contribution of four dollars supports the program and nobody is turned away.

Low-sodium and vegetarian meals are available with 48 hours notice, and reservations are requested by noon the prior business day so the kitchen can plan.

Twenty-eight raised beds at Evergreen Community Park are leased by the season. Plots are 4 by 10 feet, with water supplied and tools available to borrow from the shed.

Eight beds are built at wheelchair height and are allocated first to gardeners who need them. A volunteer mentor helps new gardeners with planting and irrigation.
