Board of Directors

Karen Whitfield has represented Division 1, covering the North Creek service area, since 2016 and was elected Board President by her colleagues in December 2024.

A retired public works director for Clearwater County, she chairs the Finance and Audit Committee and led the board subcommittee that developed the district's 2025 to 2030 Strategic Plan.

Andre Boateng represents Division 2, covering Maple Grove and the district's civic center. He was first elected in 2022 and serves as Vice President.

He teaches secondary mathematics in the Evergreen Unified School District and has focused his board work on after-school programming, teen services and the district's joint-use agreements with local schools.

Priya Raman represents Division 3, covering the Riverbend service area, and was first elected in 2024.

A civil engineer in private practice, she serves on the Finance and Audit Committee and is the board's liaison to the Accessibility Advisory Committee. She has advocated for the accessibility audit now underway across all district facilities.

Thomas Nakagawa has represented Division 4, covering Oakview and the southern service area, since 2018.

A retired hospital administrator, he chairs the Senior Services Ad Hoc Committee and worked with staff to establish Willow Bend Senior Center as the district's designated cooling center during extreme heat events.

Renee Colvin represents Division 5, covering Cedar Ridge and the western foothills, and has served since 2020.

She owns a small landscape contracting business and has led the board's work on open space stewardship, including the trail extension now in planning and the district's wildfire fuel reduction agreement with the county fire district.
