When a permit is needed
Special event permits
A facility reservation covers ordinary use of a space. A special event permit is needed on top of that when an event includes amplified sound or live music, an inflatable attraction, food trucks or commercial vendors, or is expected to draw more than 150 people.
Apply at least 14 days ahead. The permit is reviewed by Parks and Facilities and, where there is street impact or amplified sound near homes, in consultation with the county. There is a $65 permit fee for residents and $95 for everyone else.
Inflatables and vendors each need their own certificate of insurance naming the district as additional insured, provided before the permit is issued.
