Extending the trail 2.8 miles north to connect with the county's Clearwater River path, including a new accessible trailhead.

Project overview
The extension would link Cedar Ridge Trail to the county's Clearwater River path, creating a continuous 11-mile route and giving the Cedar Ridge and North Creek service areas a connection that does not require driving.
The project is in planning while the district completes environmental review and negotiates two easements. No construction schedule can be set until both are resolved.
Scope of work
- Acquire two trail easements across private property
- Complete environmental review and a biological resources assessment
- Construct 2.8 miles of natural surface trail
- Build a new trailhead with accessible parking, a restroom and a staging area
- Construct a 60-foot span bridge over the north fork drainage
- Install wayfinding signage along the full route

Project updates
Trailhead location survey open
A survey on the two remaining trailhead location options is open through October 30. Both options were presented at the May open house and the survey includes the tradeoffs identified for each.
Alignment open house held
Forty-six residents attended the May 6 open house. The northern alignment drew stronger support, primarily because it avoids the steep section above Miller Creek.
