Little Explorers Nature Walk
A guided hour on the paved trail section, with hands-on seasonal discovery for the youngest hikers.
About this program
Each walk stays on the paved half mile between the trailhead and Overlook Junction and follows a seasonal theme: acorns and oaks in September, migrating birds in October, tracks and signs in November, and winter buds in December.
Walks go on in light rain. They are cancelled only for lightning, high wind or unhealthy air quality, and registered families are notified by 7:30 a.m.
