What you would do

  • Maintain turf, planting beds and trees across assigned parks
  • Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems
  • Conduct routine playground safety inspections and document findings
  • Operate mowers, small tractors and a one-ton dump truck
  • Respond to after-hours calls on a rotating standby schedule

Minimum qualifications

  • Two years of grounds maintenance experience, preferably in a public agency
  • Valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Certified Playground Safety Inspector certification, or the ability to obtain it within one year
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate is preferred
